La serre aquaponique

En lien avec Philémon de la Paillasse Paris, nous avons imaginé une serre entièrement dédiée à l’aquaponie, la culture hydroponique associée à l’élevage des poissons, dans un système en boucle. Cette activité plutôt expérimentale attire aujourd’hui les visiteurs extérieurs. Installée au coeur du site, elle cristallise aussi peu à peu d’autres projets et les personnes autour du jardinage, la nature en ville, la biodiversité.

La grande structure en bois de la serre, financée et construite par Yes We Camp, a été inaugurée pendant les 24h00 de l’agriculture urbaine en mars dernier. Aujourd’hui, elle est occupée par le premier module aquaponique de Philémon, qui repose sur l’utilisation d’un lit de culture remplit de billes d’argile et fonctionne avec un système à “marée” : l’eau monte et descend en permanence dans le lit de culture. Après plusieurs semaines de lancement, pour que le “cycle de l’azote” soit réalisé, temps biologique incontournable, le dispositif accueille aujourd’hui 130 carpes “cuir” particulièrement goulues. Elles aident au bon développement des premiers légumes : salades, tomates anciennes, moutarde,  herbes aromatiques. Un second module est presque prêt : il s’agira d’y faire “flotter” les légumes sur l’eau.

Avec le café-restaurant la Lingerie, les échanges s’instaurent : les déchets de la cuisine vont nourrir les poissons et la serre va progressivement augmenter le rendement des légume-feuilles avec un objectif de 24 salades par semaine. Bruno Vitasse (ZoneAH !) participe lui aussi aux expérimentations de cultures hors-sol en testant les drêches de houblons (résidus de brasserie) comme substrat, avec la volonté de valoriser cette ressource organique considérée habituellement comme un déchet.
