Depuis quelques mois, un projet prend forme dans la Maison des médecins. L’objectif est de transformer ces anciennes salles de garde en un lieu de vie partagé, en impliquant les résidents hébergés sur le site, dans les foyers de l’Association Aurore.–

De la participation à l’insertion

Le fil conducteur du projet, c’est la participation des résidents accueillis dans les foyers d’hébergement d’urgence et de stabilisation d’Aurore, et ce, à toutes les phases du projet, de la programmation des espaces jusqu’à la gestion du lieu, en passant par la réhabilitation du bâtiment. Il s’agit de les encourager à s’approprier les lieux, s’impliquer dans le projet global, et au-delà, à enclencher une démarche d’insertion, tant sociale que professionnelle.

La concertation, menée depuis janvier 2016 entre associations et résidents a permis de recueillir les besoins et les envies de chacun. Parmi les idées retenues : une salle de sport, un studio de musique, une cuisine partagée, des cours de français et d’informatique, et bien sûr, des moments festifs et de détente.

Une collaboration entre Voisins

Le projet implique une collaboration étroite entre les coordinateurs des Grands Voisins (Aurore, Plateau Urbain, Yes We Camp) et l’association CapaCités, résidente sur le site, dont la mission est l’accompagnement des démarches participatives dans le cadre de projets de rénovation urbaine. Elle joue un rôle central dans l’animation de la concertation avec les acteurs du site. Les travailleurs sociaux d’Aurore appuient aussi la démarche en organisant des espaces de rencontre et de travail collectif entre les associations et les résidents des structures d’hébergement. D’autres structures résidentes se sont jointes à l’équipe : Yes We Camp a dessiné les plans, issus du travail de concertation. Manifart’, Carton Plein et Cultures du Cœur sont intervenus à travers l’aménagement d’une salle de musique et l’animation d’ateliers.

Un chantier ouvert à tous

Dans le joli petit bâtiment en meulière et briques, datant de la fin du 19e siècle, les premiers travaux de nettoyage et de peinture ont commencé. Et en parallèle, la concertation se poursuit sur la décoration et l’aménagement des espaces extérieurs. Tout le monde peut donner un coup de main : les chantiers sont ouverts à tous les Grands Voisins ainsi qu’aux bénévoles extérieurs.
